Sheesh! Hush! Don’t Tell: Celebrities Who Unsuccessfully Used Direct Message (DM) For Hookups!

I’m sure by now most people are aware social media can be used for hookups, dating, and sex via direct messaging (DM). Well guess what celebrities are doing it too and a few are unsuccessful at it. So let’s run down the list on busted celebs soliciting sex using DM.

Recently, according to MadameNoire, Mike Epps isn’t the only one who’s been caught with his hand in the direct message cookie jar. These celebrities have also been caught using social media to hook up with people.

James Franco: The 36-year-old actor recently made himself Instagram famous when a 17-year-old girl released the direct messages he sent her. But Franco said he didn’t know her age when they were messaging. “Like anybody, I was just trying to meet somebody. It’s just that my dirty shit gets put out internationally,” explain James.

Jaleel White: The former Family Matters star put a smudge on his squeaky-clean image when he asked 17-year-old to bend over in a questionable DM.

Slim Thug: Slim Thug exposed messages sent to him by video vixen Kat Stacks. Oh well, guess it hazardous when two stars involved, especially when one isn’t feeling the other.

Jose Canseco: If you’re going to sneak DM a fan, it’s probably best not to insult them. Baseball player Jose Canseco found this out the hard way. He hit on Twitter user Jamila Marie. Then tried to take it all back after he really got a glimpse of what she looked like. “I made a huge mistake,” says Jose. Marie then blasted their exchange all over social media.

Casper Smart: Casper Smart’s DM activity is the reason for the initial split from Jennifer Lopez. After a model named Sofie Vissa, Instagram explicit messages she swapped with the choreographer very close to Lopez and Smart split announcement.

Drake Bell: Drake & Josh star Drake Bell shattered his squeaky-clean image when he was caught DMing a Twitter user to arrange a threesome.

Darnell Dockett: The 49ers defensive end overstepped his Twitter bounds when he tried to invite AJ Mc Carron’s then girlfriend (now wife) Katherine Webb out to dinner via DM but accidentally posted it on his Twitter feed. Webb never replied, but luckily McCarron was a good sport about it and he and Dockett were able to laugh it off.

Marc Jacobs: Designer Marc Jacobs made quite the mistake when he posted a nude photo to his Instagram feed instead to his hookup inbox.

J. R. Smith: “You trying to get the pipe?” became one of the great sayings of 2013 when one basketball fan posted this private message from the New York Knicks, and it ended up going viral.

Anthony Weiner: Politicians are no stranger to scandals. Anthony Weiner a government officials disgraced himself when his inappropriate social media messages were leaked to the public. The scandal cost him his career. What matters worse is when he tried to make a political comeback he got caught in another DM scandal.

AnnaLynne McCord: Actress AnnaLynne McCord tried to send and image of herself to a fan through direct message. Unfortunately, she didn’t realize that she tweeted the picture to her thousands of follower, and in it, her nipple was exposed.
