Preachers of Detroit – Episode 10 “Trial and Tribulations”
Bishop Corletta Vaughn and her husband, Dr. Vaughn will arrange a couple’s dinner date with Pastor Don Shelby and his wife. Bishop Vaughn plans to address Pastor Shelby issues and comments about women ministers. The dinner and conversation went left after Dr. Vaughn asked Pastor Shelby’s wife a question about how she will handle her husband leaving unexpectedly.
Needless to say, the couple’s night ended on a sour note. Mrs. Shelby decided to invite Bishop Corletta over to resolve a few misunderstanding. Bishop Vaughn accepted the engagement, but the conversation didn’t go well. Maybe next time Mrs. Shelby will mail a card or type an email or text because she was not interested in anything Bishop Vaughn had to say.
Pastor Bullock continued his quest for City Council. Although he’s defeated, Pastor Bullock said, he would continue fighting for the city of Detroit.
Also, the Shelby family reveals a secret. Apparently, Courtney Shelby, the eldest daughter confessed she’s not a virgin. Plus, says she asked for forgiveness and repented for her sins. Sidenote: The ah-ha moment arrived. Evangelist Clark and Bishop Ellis daughters were right on the money. If you can recall, the Clark and Ellis daughters alluded to hypocrisy among the Shelby girls. Anyway, Courtney says she believes by speaking out, she can help many young people who have had or will have similar experiences.
Next week, the season finale and things seem to unravel in the Vaughn household.
